![]() ![]() The film depicts the virus as not only being released into the air, but heading out over the Pacific ocean. In the novel, destruction was narrowly averted the same was as in the film, but the events taking place following were added completely by the film directors. The single largest thing which bothered me the most about the film was the ending. Leavitt from a male in the novel to a no-nonsense woman in the film. The creators of the film changed around some of the characters, changing Dr. ![]() ![]() ![]() The film itself was a decent enough movie, it had a good plot, pretty good acting, and was overall a pretty good film in spite of the age of the film. After watching the movie version of Michael Crichton's novel The Andromeda Strain, I am further convinced that books have the tendency of being far better than their film counterparts.
